Our Trustees

The trustees meet four times a year to monitor the progress and strategic direction of the charity. The trustees are:

Sue Millman, Chair of Trustees 

Sue Millman, TrusteeSue has been a trustee of Childlife since June 2007. Previous to joining Ataxia UK in May 2007 as Chief Executive, Sue was Director of Support at Advance Housing and Support where she managed the delivery of support services to people with learning disabilities and people with mental health problems. From 1996 to 2004, she was Chief Executive of Alcohol Recovery Project, a housing association providing services to people with substance misuse problems. Sue is trustee of the Neurological Alliance and Secretary General of euro-ATAXIA, the European federation of ataxia patients organisations.


Mike Wade, Honorary Treasurer

Mike Wade, Childlife TrusteeMike started his charity career in 1987 at Oxfam, where he worked for 17 years in a variety of fundraising roles and, after a further three years at the safe water, hygiene and sanitation charity, WaterAid, he joined NDCS as Director of Fundraising and Communications in July 2008.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising and is a member of the Institute’s Policy Advisory Board. He is also a Trustee of the development charity, HelpAge International. Mike brings his fundraising experience to the Board of Childlife to ensure the charity’s fundraising programmes continue to realise their full potential.

 

Dawn Pawlett, Trustee

Dawn Pawlett, TrusteeA trustee of Childlife since March 2011. Dawn has worked within the community fundraising department at Acorns since 1994, and in December 2010, Dawn took on the role of Head of Regional Fundraising. Acorns Children’s Hospice provides care and support services for life limited and life threatened children in the West Midlands region. .  

Our Staff

Based in an office in Fleet, there are four part-time members of staff:

Joanna Felgate, Chief Executive

Responsible for the day to day runnng of the charity as well as the strategic direction of the charity. Joanna has over 15 years experience of working in charities, specifically using direct marketing techniques to recruit and retain donors.

Gina Hope-Ross, Database and IT Officer

Responsible for the fundraising database and IT needs of the charity. Gina has worked in IT for over 20 years both in the charity and private sector. Gina enjoys walking, tennis and bringing up her children.

Sharon Carter, Marketing Officer

Responsible for all printed materials that we use to recruit and retain donors as well as emails and keeping the website up to date. Sharon worked in various marketing communications roles before joining Childlife in 2002 and has been able to transfer skills gained there to benefit Childlife.

Andrea Rimington, Finance & Administration Officer

Responsible for keeping the fundraising database up to date with new donors, amends to the details of existing donors as well as looking after all the donation processing and payment of invoices. Andrea joined Childlife after having her two children and wanted to use the skills she had developed in the commercial world in a rewarding role.
