Our Trustees
Childlife has four trustees, with each member charity being represented. The trustees are legally responsible for Childlife, with the daya to day running delegated to the Chief Executive.
The trustees meet four times a year to monitor the progress and strategic direction of the charity. The trustees are:
Sally Whitaker, Chair of Trustees 
A trustee of Childlife since 1998, Sally is Deputy Chief Executive of NCB (National Children's Bureau). In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Sally has particular responsibility for leading the Strategy, Resources and Communications Division at NCB. Sally also leads on NCB's voluntary sector support work and strategic partner relationships with the DCSF and DH. Currently she is a trustee and chair of Childlife, founder member of Eurochild, and also a member of the Policy and Grant-giving Committee of Land Aid.
Allan Thompson, Honorary Treasurer
As Deputy Director of Fundraising at the National Deaf Children's Society, Allan has been a trustee of Chilldife since 2005. Having worked in fundraising for over 12 years, in which time he has set up and delivered fundraising programmes to raise millions of pounds for three UK based charities. Allan brings his fundraising experience to the board of trustees. In his role of Honorary Treasurer, Allan works closely with Joanna Felgate, Chief Executive to Childlife to ensure all fundraising programmes are delivering their potential and that Childlife continues to provide sizeable grants to the four member charities.
Sue Millman, Trustee

Sue has been a trustee of Childlife since June 2007. Previous to joining Ataxia UK in May 2007 as Chief Executive, Sue was Director of Support at Advance Housing and Support where she managed the delivery of support services to people with learning disabilities and people with mental health problems. From 1996 to 2004, she was Chief Executive of Alcohol Recovery Project, a housing association providing services to people with substance misuse problems. Sue is trustee of the Neurological Alliance and Secretary General of euro-ATAXIA, the European federation of ataxia patients organisations.
Mike Tague, Trustee
A trustee of Childlife since December 2008. Mike is Regional Fundraising Manager for Acorns Children's Hospice, which provides care and support for life limited children and their families across the West Midlands and the Heart of England. With 14 years of fundraising experience working with a number of national charities, Mike works with Acorns' Community, Corporate and Events fudnraising teams.
