Welcome

Your support is helping the four Childlife charities to enable children, young people and their families to make their voices heard and their needs to be taken seriously.

Children and young people with an illness or disability can find life challenging enough, but this is often magnified by a feeling of not having their voices heard where it counts. Their families too can feel no-one is listening which can be extremely frustrating.

The four Childlife charities are working towards minimising the feelings of isolation both for individuals like Jade, whose parents were helped by Ataxia UK to get modifications made to her school, and for groups such as the Acorns' children asked to help select a new Youth Worker.

You may also have read in the press about the successful campaign by the NDCS in the run-up to the General Election, to get MPs to sign up to show their commitment to deaf children and young people.

And in a study conducted early this year, NCB discovered that there are stark differences in the support and access to key services available to children with special education needs, depending on where in the UK they live.

You are helping to make a difference. Thank you.
