Welcome

THANKS TO YOU, OUR FOUR CHARITIES ARE ABLE TO SUPPORT FAMILIES ACROSS THE UK AND GIVE THEM THE POSITIVE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO GET THROUGH THE TOUGH TIMES.

Welcome to this issue of InTouch.  We hope you will enjoy reading about some of the children and young people your donations are helping to support.

The overarching theme running through all these stories is that of positivity.  Not something which is easy to muster if, like the Morris family, you have suddenly found yourself with a little girl left deaf by meningitis.  But with the guidance of the NDCS and support from other families with deaf children, they are doing well and helping Ella in every possible way.

The Hawryluk family were given the diagnosis that their five-year-old daughter Lauren had cerebellar ataxia a couple of years ago.  Her dad Oliver says they ‘take each day as it comes’ and help Lauren to enjoy herself, despite her increasingly limited mobility.

If you have children or grandchildren yourself, you might like to find out if their school will be getting involved with this year’s Anti-Bullying Week, coming up in November, which this year tackles verbal bullying.

Your donations really are making a big difference.  Thank you.
